Diablo Immortal is letting DOOM: The Dark Ages tear through Sanctuary for a limited-time crossover event called Slayer's Reign. The event reworks Survivor's Bane around Slayer-inspired weapon skills, adds DOOM enemies to the battlefield and gives players a shot at themed cosmetics and rewards.

The crossover begins April 15 and centers on a corrupted version of Survivor's Bane. Blizzard says players can use six unique skills drawn from the Slayer's arsenal, including abilities built around whirling shields, earthshattering strikes and sustained firepower. The setup is meant to reward aggressive play, with some skills chaining together to amplify damage against bleeding enemies.

Slayer's Bane brings in the Cyberdemon

The event's DOOM presence goes beyond weapons. Imps will appear across the battlefield, while the Cyberdemon enters Slayer's Bane as the main boss. Blizzard describes the Cyberdemon as the Ancient Elder of Hell, built for one purpose, stopping the Scourge of Hell.

Players will use the crossover's Slayer skills and abilities to bring down the boss and clear the event. For Diablo Immortal, it is a straightforward but fitting crossover hook, turning the game's wave-survival mode into a compact DOOM arena where momentum matters.

The Crucible gem and DOOM cosmetics are part of the event

Slayer's Reign also adds The Crucible, a 2-Star Legendary Gem inspired by the Night Sentinels' legendary artifact. The gem can Slaughter enemies below a set maximum life threshold, dealing more damage as the target's Life gets lower. Enemies killed shortly after being Slaughtered grant Slayer's Rage, increasing damage and Movement Speed. Slayer's Rage stacks, and killing a player immediately grants maximum stacks.

Players can also earn free DOOM: The Dark Ages-inspired Sentinel Forged Armory weapon cosmetics during the event. The crossover extends to the Phantom Market with Ruthless Hellwalker cosmetics based on the Slayer's Praetor Armor.

The event includes familiar transmogs as well. Serrat and the Cacodemon can be transformed into low-altitude flying companions, giving Diablo Immortal players one more way to lean into the crossover's Hell-on-Hell theme.

Slayer's Reign rewards

Blizzard lists the following items as earnable during Slayer's Reign:

  • 1 The Crucible Legendary Gem
  • 1 Legendary Crest
  • 5 Emoji
  • 6 Crests
  • 10 Set Gear
  • 10 Sentinel Forged Armory Weapon Cosmetics

For players already cycling through Diablo Immortal events, the big draw is the combination of a themed mode, a boss fight and free crossover rewards. For DOOM fans, it is another stop on the road to DOOM: The Dark Ages, this time filtered through Sanctuary's own version of Hell.
