Overwatch is leaning into Sanctuary for its next crossover event. Overwatch x Hatred's Reckoning runs from April 28 through May 18, bringing five new Legendary skins that recast Blizzard's heroes through a darker fantasy lens.
The new set includes Ramattra x Mephisto, Brigitte x Paladin, Freja x Rogue, Lifeweaver x Warlock and Mauga x Druid. Blizzard framed the collaboration as a clash between Overwatch's brighter hero-shooter identity and Sanctuary's heavier mood, with the skins built around alternate-fate versions of the characters rather than simple costume swaps.
For players, the practical draw is the skin lineup and event window. Ramattra's Mephisto look pushes the character toward slow-burning menace, Brigitte's Paladin skin leans into shield-bearing conviction and Freja's Rogue design keeps the archer sharp and efficient. Lifeweaver's Warlock skin plays with the overlap between life and corruption, while Mauga's Druid look translates a Werebear-style fantasy onto his oversized silhouette.

Mauga was singled out as one of the trickier designs because the team had to make his bear face, jaw and eyes work in animation while keeping him readable in gameplay. That readability matters in Overwatch, where cosmetics still need to preserve fast hero recognition in the middle of a fight.
Hatred's Reckoning also brings back four previous Legendary crossover skins: Pharah x Inarius, Moira x Lilith, Reinhardt x Imperius and Sombra x Gilded Hunter. Event challenges return as well, with new rewards including a Crab with a Knife Weapon Charm. Twitch Drops are running now through May 10.
The crossover arrives during a busy stretch for Blizzard's shooter, which recently received a Season 2 update with hero reworks and Nintendo Switch 2 support. Hatred's Reckoning is more cosmetic-focused than that patch, but for Overwatch collectors and Diablo fans, it adds another limited-time set to chase before the event ends on May 18.
