A new leak claims two of Nintendo's biggest 2027 releases could land within the same fall stretch. A Game Rant report says leak aggregator Centro Leaks shared a claim that Pokémon Winds and Waves is internally targeting September 2027, while a new 3D Super Mario game is planned for November 2027.
Neither date has been announced by Nintendo or The Pokémon Company. The official line for Pokémon Winds and Waves remains 2027, and Nintendo has not revealed the next 3D Mario game at all.
The leak narrows Pokémon's 2027 window
The report attributes the claim to Billy, an anonymous leaker described as having accurately leaked the full list of Pokémon Day 2026 games and reveals. The alleged September target would narrow the official 2027 window for Pokémon Winds and Waves, but it should still be treated as unconfirmed until The Pokémon Company gives the games a month or date.
The official Pokémon Winds and Waves site lists the games as all-new Pokémon entries coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 in a simultaneous worldwide release in 2027. The games are set across windswept islands and a vast ocean, with Browt, Pombon and Gecqua introduced as the first partner Pokémon.
A September launch would also fit with the broader late-2027 talk around the games. Gamers Now previously covered why Pokémon Winds and Waves has been looking like a longer 2027 wait, though Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have still not announced a late-year release.
3D Mario is the bigger unknown
The Mario half of the leak is harder to pin down because Nintendo has not officially shown a new 3D Mario game for Switch 2. If the November 2027 claim is accurate, it would place Mario in Nintendo's usual holiday corridor and leave September open for Pokémon, giving both franchises room to dominate separate parts of the release calendar.
That spacing is the most useful part of the rumor for now. Pokémon Winds and Waves already exists as an announced Switch 2 game, while 3D Mario remains an unannounced project despite repeated rumors. Until Nintendo confirms either plan, September 2027 and November 2027 are best read as reported internal targets, not locked release months.
