Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration now has a firm worldwide release date. The anniversary expansion is scheduled to launch on September 16, giving collectors in participating markets the same launch date instead of the usual staggered gap between Japan and other regions.

The set follows the June 1 anniversary product reveal that Pokémon TCG fans had been watching closely. That earlier tease pointed to a global celebration product, but the full reveal sharpens the pitch: foil-heavy packs, a large Pikachu chase element, classic cards from the TCG's history and a new rarity.

Every booster includes Pikachu

Each Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration booster pack will include five foil cards, one foil Basic Energy and one Pokémon TCG Live code card, according to PokeGuardian's summary of the announcement. Every pack also guarantees one foil Pikachu card, with 30 different Pikachu illustrations spread across the set.

That makes Pikachu the spine of the product, not just a mascot on the packaging. A guaranteed Pikachu in every booster gives casual buyers an immediate anniversary hook, while the 30-design lineup gives collectors a clear chase across multiple packs.

The set also reaches back into Pokémon TCG history. Classic cards are returning with special foiling, including Base Set Charizard, still one of the most recognizable cards in the game. PokeGuardian also lists Pikachu & Zekrom-GX from Sun & Moon, Team Up among the classic-style reprints shown so far.

Classic cards return, but not for Standard

The classic cards in 30th Celebration will not be legal in the Standard format, although they can be used in formats where the original prints are allowed. That keeps the nostalgia side of the set separate from the current competitive card pool, even as the product leans heavily on famous cards from earlier eras.

The expansion is also introducing Futuristic rare cards, with Mewtwo ex and Mew ex among the examples shown. Other illustrated cards highlighted so far include Espeon and Umbreon scenes, plus Illustration Rare cards for Lapras, Hisuian Zorua, Lycanroc and Drifloon.

A simultaneous worldwide launch gives this set a cleaner landing than many Pokémon TCG releases, especially for collectors trying to follow Japanese reveals, English-language product drops and card lists across regions. The expansion launches September 16 in participating markets, with exact timing on launch day varying by country and region.
