The Epic Games Store has refreshed its weekly giveaway, with Calico and LONESTAR now available to claim for free on PC. Both games can be added to an Epic Games Store library until June 4 at 8 a.m. PDT, 11 a.m. EDT and 5 p.m. CET.
The pair continues Epic's 2026 mystery-game run, which began on May 14 with Sunderfolk and The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition, then moved to Down in Bermuda and Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered on May 21. This week's two-game drop is worth about $25 combined based on regular Epic Games Store pricing, with Calico normally listed at $11.99 and LONESTAR at $12.99.
Two very different PC freebies
Calico is the softer half of the lineup. The 2020 community sim is about rebuilding a magical town's cat café, decorating it, baking treats and filling the space with animals. Its critical reception was mixed at launch, with OpenCritic listing a 55 average score from 25 critic reviews, but the game has found a warmer audience on Steam, where user reviews are marked Very Positive.
LONESTAR is a tactical roguelite deckbuilder from Math Tide and Thermite Games. It sends players after space bounties, with turn-based ship battles centered on assigning power to modules, building around different pilots and collecting new units or treasures between runs. The game entered early access in January 2024 and reached version 1.0 in April 2025.
Epic has also teased two more mystery games for June 4 through June 11, so the current promotion is not ending with Calico and LONESTAR. As usual with Epic's weekly freebies, claiming either game during the window permanently adds it to the user's library.
