The Epic Games Store has revealed its latest mystery freebies, giving PC players a limited-time shot at a recent co-op tactical RPG and a complete Telltale Batman bundle. Sunderfolk: Standard Edition and The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition are free to claim until May 21 at 8 a.m. PDT / 11 a.m. EDT / 5 p.m. CET.

Together, the two games normally cost $79.98 at full price. Once claimed, Epic's weekly freebies stay in a user's library permanently, so PC players have one week to add both before the storefront swaps them out for another pair of mystery games.

Sunderfolk is the newer release in the lineup. Secret Door and Dreamhaven launched the co-op tactical RPG in April 2025, pitching it as a digital game-night RPG where up to four players adventure together across the Sunderlands. The official Dreamhaven page describes a setup where a free phone app can act as each player's controller, hand of cards, rulebook and inventory, while the Steam listing also notes mouse-and-keyboard support and online multiplayer.

Sunderfolk characters in a tactical battle
Sunderfolk is one of the two Epic Games Store freebies available through May 21.

The Batman half of the offer is a complete Telltale package. Telltale's official page says The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition includes all five episodes of Batman: The Telltale Series, all five episodes of Batman: The Enemy Within and the Shadows Mode visual treatment, which adds hand-recolored gameplay and remastered textures.

The pairing covers two very different play sessions. Sunderfolk is aimed at groups that want tactical co-op without a full tabletop setup, while Telltale Batman is a story-driven adventure bundle focused on Bruce Wayne, Gotham and player choices across two seasons.

Epic has not revealed what comes next. The store currently has two more mystery-game slots scheduled for May 21 through May 28, continuing the surprise format that replaced the usual one-week-ahead reveal for this part of May.
