Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is getting one last DLC chapter on July 8, with Future Saga Chapter 4 now dated through PlayStation's official launch trailer.

The date gives Bandai Namco and Dimps a clear endpoint for one of the longer-running licensed anime games still being actively supported. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 first arrived years before the current console generation, then kept building around its custom Time Patroller setup, Conton City hub and a steady stream of character packs pulled from Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super and the movies.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga Chapter 4 launch trailer
PlayStation's trailer dates Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's final DLC chapter for July 8, 2026.

PlayStation's video description calls Future Saga Chapter 4 the final DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The trailer is listed for PS5 and PS4, while the PlayStation Store page for the Future Saga Pack Set says the full bundle includes Chapters 1 through 4.

The store listing does not spell out the full Chapter 4 lineup yet. It says the last chapter adds a new playable character and more, while the wider pack includes extra missions, Parallel Quests, additional moves, costumes, accessories, Super Souls and illustrations across the four-part Future Saga run. A separate Steam listing carries the same broad pack description for PC.

That lack of a complete Chapter 4 breakdown keeps the launch trailer from answering every roster question. Still, the final-DLC label is the important part for anyone still playing Xenoverse 2 before the series moves on. The game has survived by serving a different need than Dragon Ball FighterZ or the arena-brawler side of the license: it lets players build an original fighter, plug them into Dragon Ball's timeline chaos and keep expanding that avatar over years of paid packs and free updates.

The timing also lands after Bandai Namco started talking more openly about the next step. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is already scheduled for 2027 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Bandai Namco's recent West City trailer laid out a new Age 1000 setting, Soul Assist attacks and Soul Switch abilities for the sequel.

Future Saga Chapter 4 now looks like the bridge between those two eras. It gives Xenoverse 2 players a final paid drop before attention shifts toward the sequel, while leaving enough room for Bandai Namco to hold back exact character details until the DLC is closer to release.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga Chapter 4 launches July 8, 2026. The Future Saga Pack Set can also be bought as a bundle, and the store pages warn players to avoid duplicate purchases if they pick up chapters separately.
