Bandai Namco has released a new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 trailer, moving the sequel into a fuller look at West City, Age 1000 and the custom-fighter systems that will define its next chapter.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is scheduled for 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Bandai Namco's latest trailer frames West City as the new hub, with players joining the Great Saiya Squad as their own created hero in a future Dragon Ball setting.
The trailer introduces Bulma and Gamma 1, along with original characters named Brett, Lilica, ROM and Tap. Bandai Namco says players will explore West City, take on story-driven missions and spend time at West City University, giving the sequel a clearer social hub around its created-character setup.
Combat is also getting two named additions. Soul Assist lets players trigger an attack alongside a Dragon Ball ally, while Soul Switch temporarily lets the created character use power tied to fighters such as Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta, Future Trunks and Tien. Bandai Namco also says race choice will affect battle options, with Saiyans using Super Saiyan forms and Earthlings leaning on a different style.
The sequel arrives after a long run for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which first launched in 2016 and continued receiving updates for years. That history gives Xenoverse 3 a straightforward pitch: keep the series' custom-avatar, high-speed aerial fights, then make the new hub and ally systems feel more active than a simple roster refresh.
Bandai Namco's official game page lists Dimps as developer and describes Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 as an action-adventure game. The publisher has not narrowed the 2027 release window beyond the year, so the confirmed platform list remains PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
