Diablo 4's Paladin should hit harder when Season 14 begins. Blizzard's latest Diablo 4 patch notes include a long list of Paladin buffs, touching Oaths, active skills, defensive tools and several class-specific Unique items.
The timing gives Paladin players a clearer reason to revisit the class when Season of Death Awakening starts on June 30. The season is already bringing Pandemonium Ruptures, Mythic Uniques 3.0, Solo Self Found and Tower leaderboards, but the final 3.1.0 notes also reshape several Paladin builds that struggled to keep pace late in Season 13.
Paladin damage gets a broad lift
The biggest Paladin changes are spread across multiple build paths. Zealot Oath's damage per echo rises from 21% to 25%, Judicator Oath damage increases from 60% to 80% and Disciple Oath damage jumps from 50% to 80%. Juggernaut Oath is also listed for a damage increase in the notes.
Blizzard singled out Judicator builds in a developer note, saying versions that did not stack Judgement procs were "less successful than intended." The new Judicator setup changes the post-Judged enemy bonus from 8% stacking 10 times to 60% stacking once, a cleaner setup that should make the Oath less dependent on repeated Judgement triggers.
Several Paladin skills are being pushed upward as well. Zenith's initial hit base damage increases from 450% to 550%, while its final hit rises from 400% to 500%. Shield Charge gets one of the sharper bumps, with base damage doubled from 90% to 180%, its cooldown cut from 10 seconds to 8 seconds and its armor while charging increased from 40% to 60%.
Heaven's Fury also gets a major cooldown cut, dropping from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. Wing Strikes rises from 160% to 200% base damage, Defiance Aura's armor and resistance bonus goes from 30% to 50%, and Aegis now grants 30% armor while active.
Season 14 is still bigger than one class
The Paladin buffs land inside a much wider Season 14 patch. Blizzard is also changing Unique drops so every Unique item has two guaranteed affixes, a separate loot change we covered in our look at Diablo 4's less random Unique gear. Several class Uniques are part of the same balance pass, so Paladin gear should feel different at the same time as the skill tree changes.
Light's Rebuke is moving from 120-150% damage to 150-200%, Ward of the White Dove rises from 55-77% to 77-99%, Red Sermon goes from 85-105% to 100-120% and Sunbrand climbs from 70-90% to 85-105%. Supplication receives the largest listed increase, doubling from 60-80% damage to 120-160%.
Not every Paladin line is a straight buff. Blessed Shield's Shield of Retribution variant has its Thorns damage reduced from 100% to 70%, so some builds may need adjustment once the season is live. The overall direction is still clear: Blizzard is trying to give Paladin players more viable endgame options instead of leaving the class dependent on a narrow group of high-performing setups.
Season of Death Awakening begins June 30 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Blizzard's broader season post says the update adds Pandemonium Ruptures, a Corrupted Reaper seasonal lair boss, SSF leaderboards and a limited Warlock class trial from June 30 through July 7, so the Paladin balance pass will arrive alongside a full seasonal reset.
