A new Assassin's Creed Hexe report has described two apparently removed images from Ubisoft's still-unrevealed next mainline project, including one said to show protagonist Anika from behind. The images have not been confirmed by Ubisoft, and the accessible X post tied to leaker Rogue now only shows a short "RIP" message after the account was reportedly targeted or suspended.
The first described image reportedly shows Anika entering a dark tomb, with dull red hair visible from behind. The second image is said to show a bald man from behind in a dark, foggy area, with Rogue only describing the figure as huge. That leaves the character's identity unclear, including whether the image is connected to Wolfgang, the older Assassin mentor mentioned in previous Hexe leaks.
The leak keeps Hexe's witch-trial thread alive
The images are minor by themselves, but they fit the recent run of rumors around Assassin's Creed Hexe. Earlier claims tied the game to Würzburg, Anika and Ezio Auditore, while another recent report claimed Ubisoft is targeting a June 2027 window for the project. None of those details are official.
Ubisoft has said much less. In its March 2026 Assassin's Creed update, the company called Codename Hexe a "unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin's Creed experience" in development at Ubisoft Montreal. Ubisoft also said it would stay quiet on the game "for a little longer," which is why even small alleged image leaks are drawing attention from fans waiting for the next proper reveal.
The current rumor also carries an obvious caveat. The reported screenshots are not available in a useful public form, and the surviving linked Rogue post does not show the images. That makes this a description of alleged material, not a clean first look readers can verify for themselves.
If the images are genuine, their tomb and foggy-forest descriptions would line up with the darker tone Ubisoft has already attached to Hexe. If they are not, the next official trailer should quickly separate the real game from the growing pile of Assassin's Creed rumors around Anika, Wolfgang and the project's German witch-trial setting.
