*Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced* is out now, bringing Ubisoft's rebuilt pirate adventure to PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud streaming services.
Ubisoft confirmed the launch in a new release-day briefing, which gathers the remake's editions, platforms, technical features and major gameplay changes into one final checklist. The game is available through the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store and Steam on PC, with Steam Deck verification listed from day one. Nvidia GeForce Now and Blacknut are also named among the streaming options.
The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 / €59.99, while the Deluxe Edition is $69.99 / €69.99. Ubisoft says the Deluxe Edition includes the Master Assassin Character Pack and Master Assassin Naval Pack, adding extra gear, a costume for Edward, ship cosmetics, a pet, crew attire and other digital items.
A bigger remake than a visual pass
*Black Flag Resynced* is pitched as a ground-up remake of *Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag*, keeping Edward Kenway's Caribbean story while rebuilding the presentation and several core systems for modern hardware. Ubisoft had already laid out launch timing and final upgrades, but the release-day post now makes the availability message simple: the game is live.
The remake adds new story material, including three recruitable Jackdaw officers with their own questlines, new scenes recorded with Matt Ryan, additional Animus Rift sequences, a Stede Bonnet epilogue and an eight-mission endgame chapter called A World Without Gold. Ubisoft has previously detailed that chapter and other new Black Flag Resynced missions, positioning them as more than small side extras for returning players.
Combat has been reworked around parries, timing and quick-fire pistol combos. Stealth now includes free crouching, light and shadow visibility, observe mode from *Assassin's Creed Shadows* and a hood toggle. Parkour adds manual jump, side ejects, height-gaining back ejects and faster interrupts.
Naval play is also getting new tools. Ubisoft lists seamless naval-to-land exploration, shrapnel barrels, 8-pounder cannons, secondary firing modes, Ram Dash, heated shot and a returning Naval Wanted System with Pirate Hunters that pursue the player after high-notoriety actions.
Console, PC and Steam Deck details are locked in
On PS5 and PS5 Pro, Ubisoft lists DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, SSD support, Tempest 3D audio and three graphics modes: Performance at 60 FPS, Fidelity at 30 FPS and Balanced at 40 FPS for 120 Hz displays. Ray-traced global illumination is enabled across all modes, with ray-traced reflections added in Fidelity mode. PS5 Pro also gets PSSR support.
PC players need a one-time online connection for installation, after which Ubisoft says the game is fully playable offline. The PC version supports upscaling, frame generation, software ray tracing for non-RT hardware and graphics presets for handheld devices. Steam support includes achievements, collectibles and Steam Deck verification.
Ubisoft is also adding a photo mode gallery on the game's website and a bug reporter for launch-day issues. For players who skipped the pre-release deep dives, the short version is that *Black Flag Resynced* is now available, with the remake arriving as both a nostalgia play and a fairly broad systems overhaul for one of Assassin's Creed's most popular entries.
