Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has appeared in PEGI's public database with a 16 rating and a listed "pre-release date" of 30 May 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

That date is already in the rear-view mirror, so it should not be treated as a confirmed launch date. It is still a notable bit of ratings-board movement for Bandai Namco's aerial combat sequel, because the publisher has not announced anything more specific than a 2026 release window.

The PEGI search result lists Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve under Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe and breaks out the same 30 May 2026 pre-release date for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The same entry currently gives the game a 16 rating, but it does not include the usual longer consumer advice text explaining the content behind that rating.

Bandai Namco's official Ace Combat 8 page still says 2026. It lists the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, describes it as a flight-shooting game from Bandai Namco Aces Inc. and confirms both single-player and multiplayer support.

Bandai Namco is still only saying 2026

Ace Combat 8 was announced in December 2025 as the next mainline entry in Project Aces' long-running flight combat series. The new game moves the series to Unreal Engine 5 and sends players back into Strangereal as a pilot fighting from the carrier Endurance after the Federation of Central Usea is overrun by the Republic of Sotoa.

The official page frames the campaign around the "Wings of Theve" name, a legend tied to the FCU capital that the player is asked to carry into battle. Bandai Namco also highlights dogfighting, multi-layered cloudscapes, first-person story scenes between missions and squad relationships aboard the carrier.

Ratings-board listings can appear before publishers make release-date announcements, but they are not announcements by themselves. In this case, the most careful reading is simple: PEGI now has Ace Combat 8 in its database with a specific pre-release date, while Bandai Namco's public messaging has not moved beyond 2026.

That keeps the next official update worth watching, especially with the summer showcase season close. Until Bandai Namco gives a date directly, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve remains confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026.
