Nintendo is adding a new Switch 2 bundle just as the console's price becomes a bigger part of the buying decision. The Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle will launch in early June at participating retailers for $499.99.

The bundle includes a Nintendo Switch 2 system and a download code that can be redeemed for one digital game. According to Nintendo's announcement, buyers can choose Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokemon Pokopia.

Nintendo says the limited-time bundle offers a value of up to $29.99 compared with buying the console and game separately. That top saving applies if the code is used for Mario Kart World, which normally sells for $79.99. Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokemon Pokopia give buyers different first-game options if they would rather start with a platform adventure or a cozier life sim.

The timing gives the bundle extra weight. Nintendo recently confirmed that the Switch 2 price will rise in the United States from $449.99 to $499.99 on September 1, with Canada and Europe also getting increases on the same date. The new bundle arrives before that change, but it is priced at the same $499.99 level the standalone US console will reach later this year.

That makes the offer unusually direct for anyone planning to buy a Switch 2 soon. Instead of paying $449.99 for the system now and adding a full-price game separately, the June bundle packages the console with one of Nintendo's major Switch 2 exclusives for less than the separate total.

Nintendo says the Choose Your Game Bundle will only be available for a limited time while supplies last. The company has not shared a more specific release date beyond early June, so the next useful detail for buyers will be which retailers stock it and how quickly the launch allocation sells through.
