F1 25's 2026 Season Pack is arriving with a PS5 Pro upgrade aimed at making Codemasters' Formula 1 racer look cleaner on Sony's upgraded console.
In a new PlayStation Blog interview, Codemasters technical producer Si Lumb said F1 25 will support enhanced PSSR when the 2026 Season Pack launches worldwide for PlayStation 5 on June 3. The game already carries a PS5 Pro Enhanced badge on the PlayStation Store, but this update brings the latest version of Sony's AI-driven upscaling into the new season content.
The headline change is image clarity in Quality mode. Codemasters says that mode keeps locked 60fps gameplay while using ray tracing, and enhanced PSSR should give the game "a sharper image" when players boot up the 2026 Season Pack on PS5 Pro.
"At Codemasters we pride ourselves on delivering locked 60fps gameplay in our exclusive ray tracing enhanced Quality mode, the introduction of PSSR gives us more performance and a higher quality image," Lumb said. "Players should notice a sharper image when booting F1 25 at the launch of the 2026 Season Pack."
PS5 Pro players will still have multiple ways to play. Quality mode includes ray traced reflections, dynamic diffuse global illumination and ray traced global illumination. Performance mode targets 120Hz gameplay on compatible displays, while the game's 8K resolution mode remains available for players with supported TVs.
The upgrade also gives the new MADRING circuit a technical showcase role. Lumb described the high-speed Madrid street track as the first circuit in the game "built from the ground up" around the 2026 Season Pack's new features, including enhanced PSSR and the game's ray tracing systems.

This is a narrower follow-up to the 2026 Season Pack reveal, but it adds useful detail for PS5 Pro owners deciding whether the expansion is worth revisiting on console. PSSR has also become a recurring part of recent PS5 Pro update stories, including Helldivers 2 adding PSSR and VRR support in its May 27 update.
The 2026 Season Pack itself adds the full 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship setup to F1 25. That includes updated rules and regulations, refreshed driver lineups, Audi and Cadillac joining the grid, active aerodynamics, a new Overtake mode, Career and My Team additions and the MADRING circuit.
Players who do not own F1 25 will also be able to buy F1 25: 2026 Season Edition on June 3. That version bundles the base game with the 2026 Season Pack, the revamped My Team mode, Braking Point's third chapter and the rest of F1 25's existing content.
