Don't Nod's audio team has detailed how Aphelion uses silence, naturalistic sci-fi sounds and Amine Bouhafa's score to build tension around Ariane and Thomas' separation. The studio says the Nemesis creature mixes synthetic processing with organic recordings, including dolphin and sea lion calls.
