Rockstar is giving GTA Online's player-made missions a bigger official spotlight with the Rockstar Mission Creator, a creation suite for building custom narrative jobs across Los Santos and Blaine County.
The first featured pick in the new Community Mission Series is Old School Hits, a mission made by GTA Series Videos and inspired by the original Grand Theft Auto trilogy. It went live Thursday, April 30 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Enhanced), with 4X GTA$ and RP available for a limited time.
GTA Online's Mission Creator opens more of Los Santos
The Mission Creator lets players build, play and share custom missions inside GTA Online. Rockstar's examples include a hostage negotiation at Pacific Standard bank, a holdup that turns into a multi-vehicle chase across Los Santos and finales staged with cinematic cutscenes.
To start making a mission, players need to open GTA Online's Pause Menu, then go to Online > Rockstar Creator > Create a Mission. After agreeing to the Community Guidelines, they can begin placing objectives and setting up the mission flow.

Rockstar says the tool supports complex objectives, NPC actor behavior controls and missions for up to eight players. It also opens up locations that were previously unavailable to creators, including the deck of the USS Luxington Aircraft Carrier, the Cluckin' Bell Factory, banks and other spaces.
Rockstar includes five tutorial missions
Players who want to learn the tool through actual jobs can start with five Rockstar-created missions designed as lessons: Creator Content I - Secure & Deliver, Creator Content II - Obtain & Impair, Creator Content III - Stealth Extraction, Creator Content IV - Thick as Thieves and Creator Content V - Multiple Choice.
Those missions can be launched from the Jobs Menu or opened inside the Mission Creator so players can inspect how they were assembled. Rockstar also points players to a brief guide video from How to Everything's YouTube channel for accessing the tool.
Old School Hits gives Rockstar a clean first test for how curated community missions sit beside the regular GTA Online event calendar. The limited-time 4X GTA$ and RP bonus should also help drive players toward the first showcase entry when it opens on April 30.
