GTA Online's 420 event is built around Lamar's LD Organics brand, but it is not just a login bonus and a novelty T-shirt. In a Rockstar Newswire post, Rockstar laid out a two-week event that adds Stoner Survival as a new activity, then layers several short-term payout boosts around it.
The biggest early bonus is 4X GTA$ and RP on Stoner Survival through April 22. Hunting Pack (Get Lamar) then takes over as the headline 4X mode from April 23 to April 29, so the rewards are split across two weekly windows rather than running at the same time.
Stoner Survival headlines week one
Stoner Survival sends players into a hallucination-heavy fight against waves of enemies, including aliens, life-sized action figures, clowns with wrenches and chickens in Cluckin' Bell uniforms. The mode appears at 4:20 p.m. each in-game day in Los Santos, with Rockstar pointing players toward the Survival Blip in Freemode and the Senora Desert Trailer Park.
The event's first week also includes 3X GTA$ and RP on First Dose and Last Dose missions, 2X GTA$ and RP on Short Trips, 4X GTA$ and RP on Pizza Delivery and double rewards on Biker Weed Sales. Logging in before April 29 unlocks the Black LD Organics Tee, while Peyote Plants return for players who want the stranger side of the event.
There is also a timed challenge attached to the new mode. Clearing five waves of Stoner Survival by April 22 unlocks the Sasquatch Outfit and GTA$420,000.
Week two shifts to Lamar's escort mode
From April 23 to April 29, Hunting Pack (Get Lamar) becomes the event's main activity. Players have to protect Lamar and the LD Organics van from rival attackers, and the mode pays 4X GTA$ and RP during that second week.
The later window also raises Smoke on the Water Legal Work to 10X GTA$ and RP, adds double rewards on Counterfeit Cash Sell Missions for Bikers, offers 2X GTA$ on Street Dealer Weed Sales and gives the Community Race Series a 2X GTA$ and RP boost.
Some discounts are spread across the full event, while others are more time-sensitive. Weed Farm Businesses and upgrades are 40% off through April 22, while the Green Space Horror Suit, Green Tire Smoke and Vapid Festival Bus are discounted through April 29. Rockstar Propaganda email subscribers can also claim the Multicolor 420 Festival Outfit after logging in during the event window.
