Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has a release window at last. The official Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel says the next anime will arrive on Netflix in Fall 2026, narrowing the wait for CD PROJEKT RED and TRIGGER's return to Night City.
The new teaser listing does not give a specific day or month. It describes the show as coming this fall and points back to the same world of Cyberpunk, where the ruthless survive and everyone else is chewed up by Night City.
A new crew in Night City
CD PROJEKT RED's official Cyberpunk: Edgerunners site frames the second season as an entirely new story with fresh characters, not a direct continuation of David Martinez's arc from the first 10-episode anime. Kai Ikarashi is directing Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, with Kanno Ichigo as lead character designer and Bartosz Sztybor among the returning creative leads.
That standalone setup has been the key caveat since the follow-up was announced. Fans who watched the first season through to its ending should not expect a simple Season 1 reunion. The hook is another trip into Night City through a different crew and a new tragedy-prone slice of the Cyberpunk universe.
The release window also answers the biggest question left after Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2's Anime Expo 2026 plans were confirmed in May. That panel was billed as a closer look rather than a date reveal, while the new teaser metadata now gives Netflix viewers a target season.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners remains available on Netflix, where the original series is listed as action anime, sci-fi anime and an anime based on a video game. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will stream there when it launches in Fall 2026.
