Attack on Titan 3 has moved from reveal tease to release-window news. Koei Tecmo's official site now lists the Omega Force sequel for this winter, giving anime game fans a clearer target after the game was announced at Summer Game Fest in June.
The new window applies to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Koei Tecmo has not announced a specific date, and the game's Steam page still says the release date is to be announced. Steam also lists Koei Tecmo Games as both developer and publisher.
The gameplay reveal trailer puts the focus back on omni-directional mobility gear, the aerial movement system that defined Koei Tecmo's earlier Attack on Titan games. The Steam listing says the ODM action has been refined, with the game covering the story from beginning to end and bringing the Nine Titans into the game series.
That full-story approach is the main reason this follow-up is more than another licensed anime sequel. Attack on Titan 2 launched in 2018, before the anime reached its final stretch, so Attack on Titan 3 is being framed as a chance to revisit earlier arcs while finally adapting the later material that the previous console games could not cover.
Koei Tecmo's site also says Attack on Titan 3 will be a single-player action game with Japanese audio. Text support is listed for Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, French, Italian, German and Spanish, while the Steam version is marked as digital download only.
One anime-specific detail is coming after launch. The official site says MAPPA will produce the game's opening sequence, but notes that it will not be included in the base game and will be added in an update. Until Koei Tecmo gives a date, this winter remains the closest launch timing for Attack on Titan 3.
