Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, giving Switch 2 players a closer look at the next Yoshi adventure before it launches on May 21.
The game is built around a talking book named Mr. E, who falls from the sky and loses information about the mysterious creatures inside his pages after the crash. Yoshi's job is to dive into those pages, recover Mr. E's lost knowledge and help get the book back on the right track.

Nintendo's description frames the Switch 2 exclusive around exploring different habitats, learning about quirky creatures and giving each one a name as Yoshi moves through Mr. E's pages. Bowser Jr. may also appear along the way, though Nintendo is keeping his role vague for now.
For Yoshi fans, the trailer positions Yoshi and the Mysterious Book as another playful, character-forward entry rather than a straight platforming pitch. The creature discovery angle gives the adventure a storybook hook, with each page acting as a place to search for strange new inhabitants.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on May 21. Nintendo says players can pre-order the game or learn more through its store page.
