Nintendo has released a new Splatoon Raiders trailer, giving Switch 2 players another look at the upcoming single-player-focused adventure before it launches on July 23.

The new footage highlights character creation and flashy gadgets, then frames the game around the series' ink-slinging chaos in a different kind of setup. Splatoon Raiders is still set in the Splatoon world, but Nintendo is presenting it as a new game built around raiding islands, scavenging salvage and hunting treasure.

This time, players will work alongside Deep Cut, the swashbuckling musical trio from Splatoon 3. The crew's role fits the treasure-hunting pitch neatly, with Nintendo saying players will raid islands for salvage while fighting waves of Salmonids, the fishy enemies best known to many Splatoon players from Salmon Run.

Nintendo's latest Splatoon Raiders footage highlights the game's single-player island-raiding setup.

Splatoon has traditionally balanced colorful competitive multiplayer with weirder solo campaigns, so Raiders stands out because Nintendo is positioning this entry around a single-player adventure from the start. The trailer's focus on customization and gadgets suggests the game is meant to give that side of Splatoon a larger stage on Nintendo's new hardware.

Splatoon Raiders is launching exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23. Nintendo says pre-orders are available now.
