A new round of alleged Capcom leaks claims the publisher is lining up several major Resident Evil projects, including Resident Evil 10, while also planning a remake of the original Devil May Cry.

The claims are not confirmed by Capcom, so they should be treated as rumor unless the company announces the projects itself. Still, the reported slate is big enough to get attention because it touches two of Capcom's most recognizable series and suggests the company may keep leaning on remakes alongside new mainline entries.

A Reddit compilation of the alleged leaks gathers claims attributed to known Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem and X user StiviwonderN. The most specific claim is that Resident Evil 10 is internally referred to as Project Redlife and will feature Claire Redfield as a protagonist.

The rumor puts Claire back near the center of Resident Evil

If accurate, the Claire detail would be the most player-facing part of the leak. Claire remains one of Resident Evil's most important characters, but her major game appearances have been less frequent than Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine in recent years.

The rumor also claims several Resident Evil remakes are in production or moving through earlier development steps, including Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil Zero and the original Resident Evil. According to the leaked outline, the first Resident Evil remake was in pre-production from 2022 or 2023 and has recently moved into full production.

That would fit Capcom's recent rhythm, at least broadly. The company has already found huge success by modernizing older Resident Evil games, while its latest mainline entry, Resident Evil Requiem, has kept the series active in 2026. Gamers Now recently covered Requiem's return to Steam's top 40 most-played games after Capcom added the free Leon Must Die Forever mode.

The leak also mentions future story DLC for Requiem, including a claimed Ada Wong-focused pack. Capcom has not shared those details publicly, and the useful distinction is that confirmed post-launch plans and unconfirmed character claims are not the same thing. The reported Ada content should stay in the rumor column until Capcom says more.

Devil May Cry would be the bigger surprise

The Resident Evil claims line up with Capcom's established remake strategy, but the Devil May Cry part is more surprising. The leak says a remake of the original Devil May Cry is planned, with no extra details about timing, platforms or scope.

That makes it harder to judge than the Resident Evil claims. A faithful remake of the 2001 action game would be a major moment for stylish action fans, especially after years of players asking what comes next for Dante, Nero and Vergil. It would also give Capcom a way to reintroduce the start of the series to players who know the franchise mostly through Devil May Cry 5.

Capcom's official Devil May Cry 5 site says the Devil May Cry series has topped 26 million copies shipped worldwide, with Devil May Cry 5 alone over 10 million. That context explains why even an unconfirmed remake rumor can spread quickly. Devil May Cry is not just a cult action series, it is one of Capcom's durable global brands.

The leak describes an ambitious Capcom slate, not an announcement. If Resident Evil 10, another wave of remakes and a Devil May Cry revival are all real, Capcom has several years of major horror and action projects ahead. Until Capcom confirms any of them, the claims are best read as a snapshot of what insiders say is in motion, not a release calendar.
