Rainbow Six Siege has brought back Rainbow Is Magic, giving players another limited-time run of the shooter’s pastel, toy-box event from May 6 to May 20.
In the official announcement, Ubisoft says the returning event centers on Bop the Teddy, a mode where each team has to destroy the opposing Mr. Bear while defending its own. Each Mr. Bear has 7000 HP, so the round becomes a race to create enough pressure before the other side breaks through.
The event also brings back the operator archetype system. Players can pick from Speedy, Stronk or Flexy, with each archetype carrying its own loadout, abilities and grenade options. It is a lighter, stranger setup than standard Siege, but the basic tension is still familiar: protect the objective, crack the enemy’s defense and survive the chaos long enough to win the round.
Rainbow Is Magic also returns to a modified version of Presidential Plane called Air Cute One. The name tells you the tone Ubisoft is chasing here, swapping Siege’s usual grimy counter-terror fantasy for candy colors, stuffed animals and deliberately silly event dressing.
There is a collection chase attached to the event as well. This year’s limited-time bundles cover Deimos, Fenrir and Warden, with uniforms, headgear and multiple weapon skins included. Ubisoft is also offering exclusive Weapon Kits and a Signature Bundle with a universal weapon skin, charm, attachment skin and drone skin.
Players who complete the full Event Collection unlock the Mk-14 EBR Memento Masterpiece “STRIKE A CHORD,” an animated weapon skin for Aruni and Dokkaebi. Event Packs can also be earned through in-game challenges, while a Bailiff 410 “MOSTLY BARK” Twitch Drop is available during the event window.
The event arrives shortly after Rainbow Six Siege’s Y11S1.3 patch, which made targeted balance changes for Caveira, Vigil, Warden, Zero and Kaid. Rainbow Is Magic is a different kind of update: less about long-term meta changes, more about giving Siege players two weeks of absurd objective play and bright cosmetics before the event disappears again.
