Mega Rayquaza is getting a two-track Pokemon card rollout in 2026, with one release aimed at the physical Pokemon TCG and another headed to Pokemon TCG Pocket. The Western physical expansion is called Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution, Delta Reign and is scheduled for November 6, while the digital Pocket expansion Ruler of the Skies is due in July.
The announcement ties the English Delta Reign set to Japan's Storm Emerald expansion, which launches first on July 31. Both are part of the ongoing Mega Evolution series and put Mega Rayquaza at the center of the campaign, although The Pokemon Company has not revealed the card's stats or moves yet.
Mega Rayquaza arrives first through TCG Pocket
Pokemon TCG Pocket players should see the Rayquaza-themed expansion before the physical English set lands. GoNintendo's posting of the official teaser text lists Pokemon TCG Pocket: Ruler of the Skies for July 30, putting it just ahead of the Japanese Storm Emerald physical release and several months ahead of Delta Reign in the West.
That makes the mobile game the first stop for this particular Mega Rayquaza push. It also continues a busy run for Pocket, which recently added the Paradox Drive expansion in May as The Pokemon Company keeps the digital card game on a fast update schedule.
Delta Reign follows the summer TCG schedule
For physical-card collectors outside Japan, Delta Reign now gives the Mega Evolution line a late-year target. Star City Games' 2026 set schedule places Delta Reign after Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution, Pitch Black, which is scheduled for July 17 and follows Japan's Abyss Eye release.
The main unknown is the actual card list. The reveal confirms Mega Rayquaza as the face of Delta Reign and Ruler of the Skies, but it does not say which other Mega Evolution Pokemon or Trainer cards will appear in either release.
That leaves collectors with dates before details. Pokemon TCG Pocket gets Ruler of the Skies in July, Japan receives Storm Emerald on July 31 and Western physical-card players wait until November 6 for Delta Reign.
