Forza Horizon 6 has put a rare Ferrari at the center of its final pre-launch sales push. According to the official Forza Horizon 6 editions and add-ons list, anyone who purchases any edition of the game or the Premium Upgrade before launch will receive a pre-tuned, exclusive Ferrari J50 in-game.

The choice fits the sequel's Japan setting. Ferrari built the real J50 to mark 50 years of the brand in Japan, with only 10 cars produced. In Forza Horizon 6, it becomes a pre-order reward arriving just as Xbox and PC players are counting down to launch week.

Forza Horizon 6 launches May 19 on Xbox Series X|S and PC through the Microsoft Store and Steam. Premium Edition owners, along with eligible Premium Upgrade buyers, can start playing four days earlier on May 15. The official add-ons page also confirms the game is still headed to PS5 later in 2026, with wishlisting available on the PlayStation Store but no exact PlayStation release date listed yet.

The Ferrari J50 offer sits alongside a larger launch plan for the open-world racer. Deluxe and Premium buyers get the Car Pass, which adds 30 cars after release, while Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade buyers also get VIP Membership, the Welcome Pack, the Time Attack Car Pack, the Italian Passion Car Pack and two post-launch expansions. The first revealed Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass cars already point to a broad mix of modern hypercars, Japanese icons and racing builds.

Game Pass members get the cleanest caveat. Forza says Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can play Forza Horizon 6 at no extra cost from May 19, but the Premium Upgrade is still the route listed for early access and Premium Edition extras. The official page says the pre-order Ferrari J50 applies to purchases of any edition or the Premium Upgrade before launch, so standard Game Pass access alone is not described as a path to the bonus.

The update lands during a busy final stretch for Playground Games. Forza Horizon 6 recently went gold as preloads opened on Xbox and PC, but a separate Steam preload leak also exposed parts of the build before release. The J50 reveal gives the studio a cleaner message before launch: buy in before the starting flag, and one of Ferrari's rarest Japan-linked cars is waiting in the garage.
