Forza Horizon 6 now has a clearer post-launch garage plan. Playground Games has detailed the game's first Festival Playlist series, four early Car Pass drops and the eight-car Time Attack Car Pack, giving Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade owners more to chase as early access begins and the standard launch approaches on May 19.
The official Forza Series 1 blog is centered on "Welcome to Japan," the opening Festival Playlist for the Japan-set racer. Series 1 runs from May 21 through June 18 and lets players earn 10 reward cars, with the 2008 Mazda Furai sitting as the headline overall reward at 60 Playlist Points.
Series 1 leans hard into Japanese car culture
The weekly Festival Playlist unlocks after players earn their first Wristband at the Horizon Festival, which Playground says happens during the first few hours of the game. From there, events such as races, stunts and photo challenges feed into weekly reward tracks. Playground also says Forza Horizon 6 adds new challenge types and more challenge rewards to the playlist.
Series 1 offers two seasonal reward cars each week, plus overall Series History Rewards based on lifetime Playlist Points. The full Series 1 reward-car list is:
| Reward car | Requirement |
|---|---|
| 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z EDITION | 20 PTS, Summer, May 21 to May 28 |
| 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR | 40 PTS, Summer, May 21 to May 28 |
| 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec | 20 PTS, Autumn, May 28 to June 4 |
| 1991 Honda CR-X SiR | 40 PTS, Autumn, May 28 to June 4 |
| 2019 Subaru STI S209 | 20 PTS, Winter, June 4 to June 11 |
| 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 | 40 PTS, Winter, June 4 to June 11 |
| 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V | 20 PTS, Spring, June 11 to June 18 |
| 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 | 40 PTS, Spring, June 11 to June 18 |
| 2008 Mazda Furai | 60 PTS, Series 1 overall, May 21 to June 18 |
| 2010 Nissan 370Z | 120 PTS, Series 1 overall, May 21 to June 18 |
The Mazda Furai is a smart headline pick for this first month. It is a concept car with real racing mythology around it, and in a Forza Horizon game set in Japan, it gives the playlist a more distinctive target than a routine launch-week reward.
Playground is also holding back The Trial until Series 2. The studio says it skipped Trial events in Series 1 to avoid pressuring players to rush through the final Wristband, so the first month should be less demanding for anyone exploring Japan at launch pace.
Car Pass now has its first dated drops
The Car Pass adds 30 vehicles to Forza Horizon 6, delivered weekly. Playground has now confirmed the first four dated additions:
| Date | Car Pass car |
|---|---|
| May 19 | 1990 Nissan #12 Skyline GT-R (BNR32 Gr. A) JTC |
| May 28 | 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera |
| June 4 | 1972 Datsun #269 Attacking the Clock Racing 240Z 'All Carbon Hill Climb Beast' |
| June 11 | 2008 Honda Civic Type R (FD2) |
That turns the earlier Car Pass store-image tease into a firm short-term schedule. Car Pass is included with the Deluxe Edition, Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade, and Playground says each included car grants a one-time free addition to the player's in-game garage.
The Time Attack Car Pack is available through the Microsoft Store and Steam, and it is included with the Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade. Its eight cars are the 1990 Honda #19 101 Motorsport CRX WTAC, 1992 Honda #21 Hardrace/JDMYard Civic WTAC, 2001 Honda #33 Integra WTAC, 2004 Honda #52 Evasive Motorsports S2000 WTAC, 1990 Mitsubishi #269 Attacking the Clock Racing Minicab Time Attack, 1993 Nissan #32 Skyline WTAC 'Xtreme GTR,' 2000 Nissan #36 Dream Project S15 Silvia WTAC and 1995 Toyota J&J Motorsport Supra WTAC.
Forza Horizon 6 is already rolling out in Premium Edition early access on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The standard launch follows May 19 through Xbox, PC, Steam, Xbox Cloud and Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, with PlayStation 5 still planned for later in 2026. Gamers Now covered the launch timing in its Forza Horizon 6 early access breakdown, and the Series 1 schedule now gives the first month a clearer routine: earn Festival Playlist rewards from May 21, claim weekly Car Pass cars from May 19 and decide whether the paid Time Attack pack belongs in your garage.
