Warframe's Jade Shadows: Constellations update is live today, giving Digital Extremes' long-running online action game a new Stalker-focused story chapter, a dual Warframe and another pass at Railjack space combat.

Xbox published a new gameplay trailer for the update on June 17, while the official PlayWarframe trailer describes Jade Shadows: Constellations as arriving today on all platforms. The update follows 2024's Jade Shadows quest, with the Stalker again pushed into the center of Warframe's wider Origin System storyline.

Xbox's gameplay trailer shows Warframe's Jade Shadows: Constellations update, available now.

The central addition is Sirius and Orion, described in the trailer metadata as Warframe's first dual Warframe. The pair are presented as the Stalker's sons from parallel futures, with players able to switch between them during combat. That gives the update a cleaner gameplay pitch than a normal story quest: the family drama around the Stalker is tied directly to a new frame concept that changes how a mission can flow moment to moment.

Digital Extremes is also using the update to deepen the Protoframe thread. Ryoku, tied to Ash, and Vena, tied to Garuda, appear alongside Sirius and Orion as mentor figures with their own rivalry. For Warframe players who have followed the game's move toward more character-driven quests, that keeps Jade Shadows: Constellations in the same lane as the newer cinematic updates rather than treating it as a detached content drop.

The trailer description says the new quest sends players back into control of the Stalker as he works with the Tenno. After finishing the quest, players can move into Uranus Proxima for new Railjack missions. That part is worth noting because Railjack has often sat apart from Warframe's faster ground missions, even though the official PlayStation page still lists customizable spacecraft and ship-to-ship battles as part of the game's core spread. Constellations appears to fold that side of Warframe back into the main update cycle with missions described as the game's most accessible Railjack content yet.

The update also launches alongside Styanax Prime Access and Dante Tytonis. Xbox's trailer description lists new Incarnons, Signas, Operator and Drifter hairstyles, Arcanes, Augments and Atragraphs as part of the wider release. Those additions matter most to active players tuning builds, chasing cosmetics or returning for the next progression target, but the bigger draw is the combination of new quest content and a frame built around swapping between two linked characters.

Warframe remains a free-to-play co-op third-person shooter from Digital Extremes, with the PlayStation Store describing it as a story-driven online action game about battling through an expanding sci-fi system. The Xbox store lists Digital Extremes as publisher and developer, and the game's official cross-platform progression page says Warframe supports PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile versions.

Jade Shadows: Constellations is available now as a free Warframe update. The trailer carries a spoiler warning for the original Jade Shadows quest, so players who have not finished that story chapter may want to clear it before watching the new footage or starting the follow-up.
