Netmarble's next Solo Leveling game now has a 2026 release window, and it is not another straight retelling of Sung Jinwoo's rise. Solo Leveling: KARMA is planned for PC, iOS and Android as a roguelike action RPG set during the 27-Year War of the Monarchs.
The official site describes KARMA as "a brand-new story untold in the original work." A new official Story PV gives the game a clearer narrative hook, framing Jinwoo's fight around an extended war that the main Solo Leveling story only leaves room to imagine.
KARMA turns Solo Leveling into a run-based action RPG
KARMA keeps the power-fantasy appeal of Solo Leveling, but the structure is closer to a roguelike than a traditional anime arena fighter. Players control the Shadow Monarch through shifting dungeons, with repeated runs shaped by weapon choices, summons and temporary Blessing upgrades.
The combat pitch leans on quick weapon swaps, hack-and-slash combos and Shadow Army support. Igris and Iron are among the summonable Shadow units, giving fights more of the screen-filling spectacle associated with Jinwoo's later powers instead of keeping the focus on one-on-one duels.
That format is a smart fit for the series. Solo Leveling is already about a character growing stronger through dangerous gates, escalating enemies and new abilities, so run-based progression gives Netmarble a way to turn that loop into a repeatable game structure.
Netmarble is building on Solo Leveling's gaming push
KARMA arrives after Solo Leveling: Arise helped move the franchise further into games, and Netmarble is again handling both development and publishing. The difference is scope: KARMA is being positioned around a less explored stretch of the story instead of familiar early arcs and boss fights.
The announced platform list also makes the game a PC and mobile release from the start. That keeps it in the same broad audience lane as Arise while giving roguelike fans a clearer reason to pay attention, especially if the final game puts enough weight behind dungeon variety and build experimentation.
Netmarble has not announced an exact release date, price or monetization details yet. The confirmed window is 2026, with more specifics likely to follow as KARMA moves closer to launch.
