The new trailer matters less as a surprise announcement and more as confirmation that Madden's second Switch 2 season is part of EA's main 2026 rollout. The Nintendo store page lists the Switch 2 version for August 13, with TV, tabletop and handheld play modes supported and an estimated 50GB file size. EA's own FAQ also lists Madden NFL 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through the EA app, Steam and Epic Games Store.
That platform confirmation gives Switch 2 owners a clearer answer than they had when an early eShop listing first surfaced in May.
