Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will launch digitally on June 18 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, giving the tactical shooter series a firm date for its move from World War II battlefields into the Vietnam War.

Team17 and Expression Games confirmed the date in an official release date announcement, alongside a new trailer and pre-orders for the upcoming multiplayer shooter. The digital launch covers Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while physical editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X are due to arrive later on August 4.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Release Date Trailer
Xbox's release date trailer confirms Hell Let Loose: Vietnam for June 18, 2026.

The date matters because Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is not just another map pack for the existing game. It is a separate entry that takes the series' 50 vs 50 structure into a conflict with very different terrain, weapons, movement demands and vehicle expectations. The original Hell Let Loose earned its audience by making coordination feel essential, with officers, squad leaders and infantry roles all feeding into a wider front line. Vietnam gives that formula a harsher kind of space to work with.

Official details point to six large-scale maps inspired by real-world locations, with US Armed Forces and North Vietnamese Army sides fighting across jungle, rivers, gorges and built-up battlefield positions. The studio is also leaning into systems that fit the setting. US forces can use helicopters for fire support and supply drops, while NVA players can build tunnel networks for surprise attacks. Patrol boats, swimming, climbing, fast crawling and the ability to drag wounded allies are all listed as part of the new battlefield toolset.

That shift could be important for players who bounced off the slower edges of Hell Let Loose but still like large-team tactical shooters. Vietnam's river routes, tunnels and helicopters suggest a game that still wants communication and command structure to decide matches, but with more vertical and environmental pressure than a straight infantry push across open fields.

The official Steam page currently lists the game as a pre-purchase title at $39.99 for the standard edition and $59.99 for the Deluxe Edition, with a 10 percent launch promotion shown ahead of release. Team17's announcement also lists £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 for the standard edition and £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 for the Deluxe Edition. Pre-order bonuses include a US Army Boat Crew Uniform, while the Deluxe Edition adds 2026 Field Supplies content including NVA Boat Crew, ANZAC and NVA, Green Berets and Navy SEALs uniform packs.

Players will not have to wait until June to try it. A free open beta weekend is scheduled for Steam from May 29 at 10AM BST / 2AM PDT through June 1 at 10AM BST / 2AM PDT. Team17 says the beta will feature the Thanh Hóa Bridge map, which should make it the first broad test of how Hell Let Loose: Vietnam handles its new terrain and side-specific tactics outside controlled previews.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is being developed by Expression Games and published by Team17. The original game remains available separately, but this release now has a clear runway: Steam beta at the end of May, digital launch on June 18 and physical console editions in August.
