Everything is Crab is back in Steam's lower top 100 a little over a month after launch, putting the oddball animal-evolution roguelite back on the chart after publisher Secret Mode said it had passed 500,000 sales.
At 17:50 UTC on Sunday, Steam's public most-played chart placed Everything is Crab at No. 85. The game had 2,071 current players in that reading and an 18,008-player weekly peak, while the previous weekly rollup had it outside the top 100.
That is a much smaller current player count than the chart's biggest live-service games, but the context is different here. Everything is Crab is a paid PC indie from Odd Dreams Digital and Secret Mode, not a free-to-play shooter or long-running MMO, and its return comes after its launch-week top-100 entry in May.
The sales milestone adds context
Secret Mode said in a one-month Steam update that Everything is Crab had reached 500,000 sales after launching its 1.0 version on May 8. The same update said 498,475 players had chosen 438,359,833 evolutions across 16,467,216 runs.

The Steam store page describes Everything is Crab as an action roguelite set in a living ecosystem, with players choosing from more than 125 evolutions and specialisations while trying to survive the march toward carcinisation. Its hook is easy to understand from the title, but the one-month numbers show that the joke has carried into a real post-launch audience.
Why its Steam return stands out
Everything is Crab first broke into Steam's top 100 shortly after release, when Secret Mode said it had passed 100,000 sales in less than 48 hours. The latest chart reading does not put it back near that launch peak, but it does show the game reappearing in the lower top 100 after falling out of the previous weekly rollup.
For a small roguelite, the fuller picture is stronger than any single player-count figure. Steam's most-played list is usually crowded with multiplayer staples, major updates and established survival games. Everything is Crab sitting there again, after growing from 100,000 launch sales to 500,000 sales in about a month, makes the movement more than a routine chart shuffle.
Everything is Crab is available now on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Secret Mode's launch announcement listed the price at $9.99, £6.99 and €9.99, with a paid Supporter Pack also available.
