The Division 2 is getting another Year 8 update, with TUY8S1.2 adding a new Escalation Requisition Vendor, a fresh Classified Assignment and a long list of fixes aimed at gear, weapons, talents and legacy Manhunts.
According to Ubisoft's update notes, the new vendor lets Level 40 Agents exchange Escalation Tokens for Prototype Gear rewards. Players can find it in the Base of Operations next to the Escalation panel.
The vendor sells three cache types. Prototype Random Caches are always available and grant one Prototype item of any type. Prototype Gear Caches and Prototype Weapon Caches rotate daily by equipment or weapon type, with Ubisoft saying items from those rotating caches have a higher chance of better rolls. There is no purchase limit for the caches.
The Capitol Anomaly Opens May 12
The update also adds The Capitol Anomaly, a new Classified Assignment that becomes available on May 12. The mission sends Agents to The Capitol Globe, a former Washington D.C. newspaper headquarters, after ISAC flags another SHD network anomaly tied to lost Agents.
Ubisoft says the assignment includes collectibles such as ECHOs and audio logs, along with additional rewards including themed backpack trophies and named item drops. The Capitol Anomaly will appear on the map once it is available, with access unlockable from there for players who have reached Level 30. Owners of the Season Pass Bundle already have it included.
Two Global Events are also dated in the update. Assault runs from May 12 to May 19 and increases damage against nearby enemies, with the multiplier reaching up to 200%. Ambush follows from May 19 to May 26, giving players a damage multiplier while standing still and reducing it as they move. Assault rewards the Piggy Mask, while Ambush rewards the Trench Mask.
The Vanguard Overdrive multiplier event runs from May 15 to May 19, adding bonuses to reload speed, swap speed, hazard protection, movement speed and armor on kill. From May 19 to May 26, Season Pass XP x5 will apply to Priority Objectives, the Seasonal Journey, Weekly Projects, Manhunt Scouts and general world activities.
Fixes Target Escalation, Gear and Manhunt Issues
TUY8S1.2 also includes fixes for several issues reported through Ubisoft's Bug Reporter. Escalation players should see Core Strength Gear Set drops correctly appear in Prototype Quality as Targeted Loot during the Bank HQ Escalation mission. As compensation, players who log in between May 12 and May 26 will receive a one-time grant of three Prototype Core Caches in their in-game mailbox.
Other fixes address the Tinkerer Exotic Mask's Abridged talent not working with Prototype Weapons, Prototype Cores not being shared account-wide, Escalation Tiers and Escalation Tokens not sharing between Agents account-wide and several reconfiguration blueprint issues. The update also fixes problems with legacy Manhunt missions, Classified Assignment collectibles, White Tusk Tank Hive effects, Fragile Armor stacks and the BTSU Firmware unlock.
Ubisoft closes the notes by saying The Division 2's Battle for Brooklyn DLC Celebration Event is still on the way, with more details planned soon.
