Ubisoft has laid out the first-year content plan for Anno 117: Pax Romana, confirming three gameplay DLC packs, three cosmetic packs and a run of free updates planned across 2026.

The Roman city-builder launched on November 13, 2025, and its first year is split between paid expansions and free quality-of-life work. Prophecies of Ash leads the paid gameplay slate with a volcanic expansion for Latium, while The Hippodrome and Dawn of the Delta will follow later in the year.

Three gameplay DLC packs anchor Year 1

Prophecies of Ash, released April 30, expands Latium with new lands to settle and introduces the largest island in Anno history. Its central challenge is a natural volcano with different eruption phases, alongside the new deity Vulcan and the obsidian resource.

The roadmap lands just after Prophecies of Ash went live. Gamers Now recently covered how Prophecies of Ash adds a volcanic island to Anno 117, including its eruption systems, obsidian production and Cinis setting.

The next major gameplay DLC is The Hippodrome, due in August 2026. Ubisoft says it will let players build the largest monument in Anno history, inspired by Rome's Circus Maximus, with chariot races, new specialists and prestige rewards for governors.

Dawn of the Delta is scheduled for November 2026 and is described as the largest of the three Year 1 gameplay DLC packs. It will add a new province with deserts and a fertile river delta, plus new population tiers, unique needs and beliefs, new deities and additional military units. Ubisoft frames the expansion around balancing Roman ambition with Egyptian tradition.

All three gameplay DLC packs are included in the Year 1 Pass.

Cosmetic packs and free updates fill out the year

Ubisoft also plans three cosmetic DLC packs in 2026, separate from the Year 1 Pass and without gameplay impact. Marvellous Mosaics launched February 19 with more than 30 tiled ground designs, walls, arches and new skins for the Bathhouse and Forum.

Blooming Cities is planned for June, adding gardens, flower fields, ornaments, skins and a modular garden system. A third cosmetic DLC is set for September, though Ubisoft has not announced its theme yet.

Free updates will arrive alongside the DLC releases. The planned additions include more Hall of Fame content, diplomacy improvements, changes to rival and emperor behavior, UI enhancements for screens such as the trade route menu, in-game notes, time-limited Ubisoft Connect challenges and a mod browser and manager.

Ubisoft says it will share more about those free updates closer to each release.
