Adorable Adventures is out now on PC and consoles, giving cozy-game players a smaller, stranger animal adventure from a studio with an unusually winding PlayStation history.
The official PlayStation channel has published a launch trailer for the PS5 version, while publisher PQube says the game is now available on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is developed by Montpellier-based Wild Sheep Studio, the team that originally formed around the cancelled PlayStation exclusive WiLD before restructuring toward smaller independent projects.
Adorable Adventures follows Boris, a baby boar separated from his family after a forest fire. The setup sounds gentle, but the game is not just another animal mascot platformer. Its main idea is scent-tracking: Boris learns smells, follows trails, identifies plants and wildlife then uses those discoveries to search for his scattered brothers and sisters.
That gives the game a clearer identity than its deliberately cute title suggests. Instead of leaning on combat or survival pressure, Adorable Adventures turns navigation into the fantasy of being a small animal in a much larger landscape. PQube's game page describes open fields, forest paths, caves and rocky highlands inspired by the Cévennes National Park in Southern France, with scent collection feeding into handwritten journal entries from park ranger Maxime.
Wild Sheep's own background adds a little extra texture to the launch. The studio was founded in 2013 and was once best known for WiLD, an ambitious open-world survival adventure associated with former Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel. That project never made it to release. According to PQube's earlier announcement, Wild Sheep later refocused on smaller-scale work with an emphasis on positivity, characters and believable worlds, while also co-developing 2024's Maestro VR.
Adorable Adventures feels like the opposite end of the scale from WiLD's old pitch. It still has a strong nature focus, but its stakes are intimate: reunite a boar family, explore at a relaxed pace and let the environment become a playground through smell, side activities and light puzzles. PQube says players can also tackle time trial races, photography challenges, park cleanup, secrets and a local legend while searching for Boris's six siblings.
The launch lands during a crowded stretch for cozy and nature-led games, where the strongest entries usually need one memorable interaction to stand out from the wholesome crowd. Adorable Adventures' scent system is the part to watch here. If it gives exploration a real sense of animal instinct instead of acting like a renamed collectible trail, it could help the game feel more specific than a scenic checklist.
The confirmed platform list is broad from day one. Adorable Adventures is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store, with PQube also running a 20% launch discount across all platforms until May 13. The PlayStation Store listing puts the PS5 release date at April 30, 2026 and lists the game under adventure and action.
What remains less clear at launch is how deep the scent-tracking and sibling puzzles run across the full game. The official materials explain the premise well, and the launch trailer gives PlayStation players the quick pitch, but the real test is whether Boris's nose can carry the exploration once the initial cuteness wears off.
