Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta is out now on Nintendo Switch, giving one of Adol Christin's older action RPG adventures a new home on Nintendo's console. Nintendo marked the release with an official launch trailer, while XSEED Games confirmed the Switch version's April 28 release in the Americas.

Nintendo's launch trailer marks the Switch release of Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta.

This is not a new Ys sequel. It is a remastered and upgraded version of Ys: Memories of Celceta, developed by Nihon Falcom and published in the Americas by XSEED Games. The Switch release is positioned as an exclusive Nintendo Switch version, with Marvelous Europe publishing the game in Europe.

For players who know Ys mostly through newer entries, Celceta has a useful place in the series timeline. XSEED describes it as the adventure that immediately follows the events of Ys X and as an entry that helped establish gameplay systems later seen in Ys VIII and beyond. That gives the launch more weight than a routine catalog port, especially for Switch players who have been filling out the series across Nintendo hardware.

The game's pitch is still classic Ys: fast party-based action, exploration across a dangerous region and a mystery around Adol's lost memories. The official Nintendo eShop page says players explore and map Celceta, use a tag-team party combat system and can choose between the original soundtrack and a newly recorded, re-interpreted score.

The Switch version is available digitally on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99. XSEED also says a 15% launch discount is available in the Americas through May 4, 2026, while Nintendo's store page lists the sale ending May 5 at 06:59 a.m. UTC. The store page lists a 5.5 GB file size, handheld, tabletop and TV play modes and American English language support.

There is also a physical Day One Edition for $59.99 through the Marvelous USA Online Store and participating retailers. According to XSEED, that version includes the Switch game, a 3-D acrylic keychain and diorama set, a two-disc soundtrack with 36 tracks, five character art cards and a cloth map of Celceta in an outer box.

The trailer earns a standalone look because this is the launch beat for a long-running RPG series with a dedicated audience, not just a vague reminder that a video exists. Ys has always lived in a slightly different lane from turn-based JRPG giants, favoring brisk movement, real-time combat and a sense of compact adventure. Celceta's return gives Switch owners another route into that lineage without needing to start at the newest release.

The main caveat is scope. XSEED's announcement and Nintendo's store page describe improved visuals and soundtrack options, but they do not frame this as a ground-up remake or a new-content expansion. Players should expect a refreshed version of an existing Ys adventure, now available on Switch, with its exploration and party combat intact.
