Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has added two more Avengers to its roster, with Hulk and Shuri's Black Panther joining the Arc System Works fighter as part of a newly revealed Fighting Avengers team.
Producer Takeshi Yamanaka announced the reveal at EVO Japan 2026 in Tokyo, where the team also showed a new trailer, confirmed a Wakanda stage and introduced Champion as the cosmic threat driving the game's tournament setup.
The Fighting Avengers team now includes Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk and Black Panther. Captain America is voiced by Brian Bloom, Iron Man by Josh Keaton, Hulk by Fred Tatasciore and Black Panther by Erica Luttrell.
In the game's story, the new Avengers squad enters the Challenge of the Champion tournament as Earth comes under threat. Champion, one of the Elders of the Universe, is described as a conqueror obsessed with hand-to-hand combat who moves from world to world looking for opponents. His tournament promises teams of four a chance to face him, with Earth's survival hanging over the competition.
Hulk brings Gamma Rage to the roster
Hulk's Marvel Tōkon backstory starts with exile. The government, S.H.I.E.L.D., Captain America and Iron Man send him to the Savage Land because of his unstable power, leaving him distrustful of his old teammates.
That setup feeds into his design. Hulk wears dinosaur bone armor, a detail meant to push his feral look while keeping him recognisable as a gamma-radiated powerhouse. In fights, he builds a Gamma Gauge by channeling anger. Filling it triggers Gamma Rage, which boosts his strength and speed for huge one-shot attacks.
Black Panther arrives with Wakanda
The reveal also confirms Shuri as Black Panther. She is shown as Wakanda's queen and chief scientist, newly carrying the mantle while weighing tradition, progress and the pressure of protecting her country.
Black Panther fights with the Spear of Bashenga and has a mobility skill called Bast's Blessing, which lets her dash in multiple directions. The skill uses its own gauge and can be canceled from normal attacks and skills, giving her room for quick approach options, combo routes and mixups.

Wakanda joins the stage lineup with the same reveal. The newly announced playable build will include Black Panther and Wakanda, bringing the demo to 13 playable characters and five stages.
Players attending Combo Breaker 2026 in Chicago from May 22 or Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 from May 29 will be able to try that build. Yamanaka said development is entering its final stages, but the announcement did not include a launch date.
