Genshin Impact Version Luna VII, titled Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana, launches on May 20 with three new playable characters and a fresh Archon Quest centered on Sumeru.
The update's headline debut is Nicole Reeyn, a 5-star Pyro Catalyst wielder and the first playable member of the Hexenzirkel. HoYoverse also confirmed Lohen, a 5-star Cryo Polearm user from the Knights of Favonius, and Prune, a 4-star Anemo Catalyst wielder described as the Witch Hunter.
According to the official announcement, Nicole is known to the Hexenzirkel by the codename N. In combat, her Elemental Skill creates a shield, deals AoE Pyro damage and gives nearby party members an ATK bonus based on her own ATK. Her Elemental Burst adds an Arcane Projection to the active character, triggering coordinated attacks that change with that character's Element.
Lohen brings a more aggressive kit shaped around two resources, Joy and Will to Win. His Elemental Skill lets him enter a special state where normal and charged attacks build Joy, while damage from nearby party members builds Will to Win. Those resources can then be spent to strengthen his special skill and Elemental Burst damage.
Prune rounds out the new character lineup as an off-field support option. The first half of Version Luna VII's Event Wishes will feature Nicole and Prune alongside a Durin rerun. The second half will introduce Lohen and bring back Mavuika.
The new Archon Quest returns the Traveler to Sumeru, where a mysterious enemy resembling The Doctor appears during a growing crisis. The update also adds Guiding Notes to the Quest Overview interface, giving players a way to review character background and key story details while progressing through the quest. Completing the quest during the limited-time period will award 560 Primogems and Nicole's Ascension Materials.
Luna VII also includes a limited-time Inazuma event starring Klee, Sayu, Qiqi, Yaoyao and Prune. Its mini-games include Dodoco's Bomb-Rally Ruckus, Gena's Great Escape, Yuegui puzzle challenges and Fantasy Realm Performance combat training. Event rewards include the exclusive weapon appearance Super Awesome Magic Key.
Elsewhere in the update, Navia and Wanderer are getting Echo Cosmetics, Repertoire of Myriad Melodies is adding the Hexerei: Ballad of Whimsical Polyphony album and Miliastra Wonderland is receiving new events, rewards and a sports festival. HoYoverse says Manekins will also be able to perform actions across Teyvat for new photo opportunities.
