Enshrouded has a 1.0 release date, and the same day will bring Keen Games' fantasy survival RPG to PlayStation 5. The studio says Enshrouded will leave Steam Early Access on October 15, with the official release-date video also naming PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro for that date.

The Xbox Series X|S version is still in development, so the console rollout will not be simultaneous. Keen Games has not announced whether the PS5 version will support cross-play with PC or whether its multiplayer limit will match the Steam version's 16-player co-op.

Enshrouded's 1.0 date gives PS5 players a clear landing point

Keen Games announced the October 15 date in a Steam news post, telling players that more information about improvements, optimization, quality-of-life changes and new content will arrive later this summer. The accompanying official video is more specific about platforms, saying Enshrouded releases on PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro on October 15.

That makes the PlayStation launch more than a late console port. It is landing alongside the game's exit from Early Access, after a Steam run that began in January 2024 and helped Enshrouded build an audience around survival crafting, large-scale base-building and co-op exploration.

Enshrouded leaves early access and comes to PlayStation 5 in October.

The current Steam page describes Enshrouded as a co-op survival action RPG for up to 16 players. Players awaken as the Flameborn, explore the ruined realm of Embervale, gather resources, fight bosses, craft gear and use voxel building tools to create bases across the map. The store page also lists Keen Games GmbH as both developer and publisher.

The 16-player detail is one of the key questions around the PS5 release. Steam lists that figure clearly, but the PlayStation version does not yet have a public store page with player-count, cross-play or pricing details. The PC version currently sells for about $30, making that a useful reference point, not a confirmed PS Store price.

Enshrouded has also changed substantially during Early Access. Recent updates have added features such as creation sharing alongside combat changes and other improvements, while Keen Games is already teasing new 1.0 additions through the release-date video. The October launch should give PS5 players the fuller version of a game PC survival fans have been testing, building in and expanding with for more than two years.

The related Xbox release remains the loose end. Keen Games has said Xbox Series X|S is still coming, but without a date attached, the confirmed October 15 plan is PC, PS5 and PS5 Pro.
